Responsibilities:
- Assist the clinical team in managing the unit, coordinating patient activities, and providing empathetic listening and support
- Provide patient navigation and support, including providing orientation, escorting patients to groups and activities, and monitoring patient movement
- Participate in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques as needed
- Collaborate with clinical and medical providers to deliver comprehensive treatment
- Complete documentation and reports as required
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all legal and ethical standards related to client care and documentation
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- At least 1-2 years of experience working in a therapeutic or support role with individuals experiencing substance use disorders
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to complete clinical documentation in an electronic medical record
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Crisis management and de-escalation skills
- Experience working in a detox or treatment facility
- Ability to use Microsoft Word at an intermediate level
- Ability to use Microsoft Excel at a beginner level
- Ability to use Microsoft PowerPoint at a beginner level
