What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookkeeping Clerk position at Armada Corp?
Job Summary
This is an entry-level bookkeeping position. The bookkeeper’s primary responsibilities are to accurately record day-to-day financial transactions for multiple companies.
Duties
· Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, utilizing proper grammar and telephone etiquette.
· Ability to compute basic math calculations using addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentages.
· Ability to work as a team member with a diverse group of people.
· Ability to work independently and possess a drive for success.
· Must maintain a professional demeanor and presentation.
· Must be proficient in English.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
· Employee works in an office environment. Employee sits at a desk during regularly scheduled work hours; answers and makes telephone calls using a standard telephone; types on a standard keyboard; reads and comprehends information from a computer terminal and/or written resources.
· Must be able to walk up and down two flights of stairs.
Skills
· Must be familiar with QuickBooks accounting software, as well as Microsoft Excel and Word.
· Prior PC and keyboard knowledge, including 10-key ability.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
· A high school diploma (or equivalency) and two to six months relevant experience is preferred.
· Must successfully pass background check(s).
Pay: $17.13 - $18.00 per hour
