Job Summary
Arlington Wine & Liquor is looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Wine Specialist to join our team. If you have a passion for wine, enjoy helping customers, and possess strong knowledge of Italian and French wines, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers in selecting wines based on their preferences, meals, and budget.
- Provide expert recommendations with a focus on Italian and French wines.
- Maintain an attractive, organized, and fully stocked wine department.
- Create engaging wine displays and recommend new products.
- Stay up to date on wine regions, vintages, grape varieties, and industry trends.
- Assist with inventory management and restocking.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and build lasting customer relationships.
- Help support wine tastings and in-store promotional events when needed.
Qualifications
- Required: Strong knowledge of Italian and French wines.
- Previous experience in a wine shop, liquor store, restaurant, winery, or hospitality industry preferred.
- WSET certification, sommelier training, or equivalent wine education is a plus.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Friendly, dependable, and self-motivated.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.
