The Role
We are seeking an energetic, positive, hard-working, professional, and highly motivated team player with excellent communication skills and attention to detail. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be processing and reconciling weekly payroll for all locations as well as overlapping Accounts Payable responsibilities as needed. This position requires punctuality, reliability, excellent prioritization skills, ability to multitask efficiently without compromising accuracy, and great computer/technology skills.
Responsibilities
- Accurately and efficiently processes weekly payroll and reconciles payroll register and general ledger.
- Properly classify labor expenses to proper departments and locations.
- Import payroll general ledger file into Sage Intaact.
- Creates and distributes reports containing payroll and non-payroll information.
- Ensure payments are accurately entered into Sage Intaact.
- Prints checks, and ensures payments are set up correctly.
- Reviews and reconciles medical insurance invoices for accuracy and review with Human Resources Manager for any discrepancies.
Competencies for Success
- Minimum of 2 years of experience processing payroll for a multi-department, multi-location business.
- Must have experience working with ADP Workforce Now.
- Highly organized with exceptional follow-through abilities.
- Strong skills with Microsoft Excel and common accounting software are required.
- Strong verbal and written communications.
- High integrity with advanced social skills and ability to make solid connections.
- Proven ability to complete tasks in a timely manner, adhering to deadlines.
- Strong sense of urgency.
- Personality that blends well with a fast-paced, goal-driven environment.
