ARKUPS is an underground utility locating company that provides a reliable, cost-effective locate service that ensures public safety by preventing damage to our partner's facilities. As a Damage Prevention Specialist, you will work independently, and will be responsible for identifying and marking the location of all partner subsurface utilities to minimize damage or disruption of service due to construction excavation activities.
This will include interacting with contractors, co-workers and the general public in person and by telephone and/or email to establish and maintain effective working relationships while promoting the Arkansas 811 law to prevent damage.
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record and background.
Skills:
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret maps and electronic prints.
- Ability to distinguish colors to mark utilities with designated color for corresponding utility.
- Ability to interpret signals and output from electronic detection equipment in order to accurately locate underground utility lines.
