Position Summary

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide therapeutic treatments that restore function, improve mobility, and prevent disability.

You will play a key role in helping patients regain independence and achieve their highest level of physical performance.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Treatment

• Administer physical therapy treatments and modalities as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist
• Assist with implementation of individualized care plans following patient evaluation
• Support patients in improving mobility, strength, and overall function
• Help patients adapt to physical limitations and maximize independence

Patient Support & Outcomes

• Encourage and guide patients through therapeutic exercises and activities
• Monitor patient response to treatment and report progress to the Physical Therapist
• Assist patients in achieving their highest functional potential

Department & Quality Initiatives

• Participate in departmental operations and performance improvement activities
• Support Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives
• Maintain compliance with infection control standards and safety programs
• Participate in equipment training and organizational safety and fire safety programs

Qualifications

Required

• Associate’s Degree (AA) from a Physical Therapist Assistant program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA)
• Current Colorado Physical Therapist Assistant License
• Current BCLS Certification
