Position Summary:

The Coordinator of Graduate Student Engagement and Success provides advising, retention support, communications, and engagement programming across graduate programs. The role focuses on proactive advising for AB2M and graduate certificate students, progression monitoring, early intervention, and student success initiatives. The Coordinator leads Graduate College communications and social media, manages professional development and the Graduate Student Ambassador Program, supports recruitment efforts, and uses data analytics to monitor progression and guide continuous improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Student Advising, Engagement, and Success.

Provide advising for AB2M and graduate certificate students (planning, progression, support).

Assist with program navigation, registration, and academic requirements.

Support orientation and collaborate with faculty and campus partners.

Plan and deliver workshops, events, and retention initiatives.

Recruit, train, and supervise Graduate Student Ambassadors.

Communications, Outreach, and Events.

Manage social media and communications (newsletters, campaigns, digital content).

Facilitate prospective student outreach and recruitment efforts.

Plan and execute events, including logistics and assessment.

Operations, Data, and Resource Management.

Use Slate, Banner, and Argos to track and support student success.

Improve communication workflows and reporting processes.

Support academic operations and policy implementation as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong interpersonal, advising, and communication skills across diverse populations.

Excellent organization, time management, and ability to manage complex workflows.

Ability to analyze and interpret academic data for advising, assessment, and planning.

Skill in developing and delivering workshops, presentations, and professional development.

Initiative and problem-solving in supporting academic operations and policy compliance.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with faculty, staff, and campus partners.

Knowledge of graduate education, academic policy, and student advising.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to learn Banner, Slate, and Argos.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in graduate advising, academic support, or graduate services.

Experience with CRM systems, data analytics, or academic assessment.

Experience with catalog management or thesis/dissertation review.

Proficiency in student engagement and communication strategies.

Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish preferred).

Master's degree from an accredited institution.

Work Location, Environment, and Physical Demands:

This position is located on the ATU Russellville campus and operates primarily within a standard office environment.

Duties require extended periods of computer and telephone use, as well as regular travel across campus and occasional in-state or out-of-state travel for university events and outreach activities.

Some evening and weekend hours may be necessary.

The role may involve lifting and transporting materials such as brochures, event supplies, and display items weighing up to 25 pounds.

Periods of sitting, standing, and walking should be expected, particularly during events and travel.
