JOB TITLE: Success Coach REPORTS TO: Director of Student Success
LOCATION: Must be able to commute to the Little Rock, AR campus daily.
STATUS: Open until filled. Target Start Date: 7/1/2026
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Commence July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027. Compensation will be prorated based on the hiring date and successful completion of the background check. Benefits package offered. NOTE: Precise placement within the salary range will be determined based upon education and experience.
POSITION SUMMARY: Graduate Arkansas, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Success Coach to provide comprehensive academic, social, and emotional support to our diverse student population. This position will work directly with students ages 14-21 to remove barriers to success, implement personalized action plans, and ensure students have the resources and guidance needed to achieve their educational and career goals. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both Spanish and English to effectively serve our multilingual student community and engage with Spanish-speaking families.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide individualized coaching and mentoring to a caseload of students, conducting regular check-ins and progress monitoring
- Implement personalized success plans that address academic, social-emotional, and career readiness needs
- Conduct outreach to at-risk students and their families in both English and Spanish to build strong support networks
- Facilitate group workshops and seminars on study skills, time management, goal setting, and life skills in both languages
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to identify students needing additional support
- Connect students with community resources, including mental health services, housing assistance, and other support services
- Maintain detailed documentation of student interactions, progress, and outcomes in student information systems
- Support college and career exploration activities, including assistance with applications and financial aid
- Monitor student attendance, grades, and engagement to identify early warning signs and intervene proactively
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance coaching skills and cultural competency
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field (required)
- Fluency in both Spanish and English (speaking, reading, and writing) - PREFFERED
- Minimum of 2 years experience working with youth or in educational settings
- Experience working with diverse, at-risk student populations preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to build rapport across cultures
- Knowledge of academic support strategies and social-emotional learning principles
- Understanding of cultural sensitivity and ability to work effectively with multicultural populations
- Proficiency with technology including Google Suite, student information systems, and virtual meeting platforms
- Valid Arkansas driver's license and current TB test
- Ability to perform in an indoor office/classroom environment with some physical requirements including sitting, standing, and occasional lifting of light objects
This position combines direct student support with cultural bridge-building to ensure all students, regardless of language or background, have equitable access to resources and opportunities for success.
ENVIRONMENT: The Success Coach will work in a collaborative educational environment that values diversity and inclusion. This role requires flexibility to work across multiple campuses or in virtual settings as needed, and may occasionally require evening or weekend hours for family engagement activities or student events. The position involves working with students facing various challenges and requires emotional resilience and professional boundaries.
