Available Shifts: Fri 10p-8am 

Sat & Sun 8am-8pm 

Sat & Sun 8pm-8am

We partner with government agencies, nonprofit organizations, healthcare providers, schools, foundations, businesses, and families to provide effective, least-restrictive supports that help individuals with disabilities live meaningful lives in environments they and their families choose.

About the Role:

We are seeking compassionate and reliable DSPs to provide hands-on support to an adult consumer in their home and community. This role focuses on promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life through person-centered care.

DSPs empower individuals to live in a home of their choice, access community resources, attend school or work, and participate in activities that are meaningful to them.

Personality and strengths:

The individual enjoys an active, community-based lifestyle, with preferred activities including visiting pools, going to parks, and participating in recreational and social settings. They also enjoy dining out and occasional treats following meals. A quality life for the individual includes regular access to outdoor activities, opportunities for social interaction, and meaningful engagement in recreational experiences.

A quality support environment prioritizes choice, inclusion, and respect. It is important to avoid unnecessary restrictions on preferred activities and to ensure the individual does not experience isolation or lack of engagement. Support should be delivered in a respectful, person-centered manner that promotes dignity, positive interaction, and active participation in daily life.

How to support:

• Provide support by following established routines and giving advance notice of changes using visual tools (e.g., schedules, timers). Implement the individualized behavior support plan as written, focusing on prevention, identifying triggers, and using least-restrictive, de-escalation techniques. Utilize proactive strategies to reduce self-injury and follow the crisis plan if incidents occur. Support structured mealtimes with portion control, supervision, and consistent redirection. Promote independence by teaching daily living skills and gradually reducing support. Encourage safe participation in preferred activities and use assistive technology as appropriate. Maintain accurate documentation, communicate updates to the team, and ensure all interactions reflect person-centered language, dignity, and respect.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED (or 1 year relevant experience)
• 18 years or older
• Required to pass background checks and required clearances
• Flexibility to work weekend schedules
• Reliable transportation and valid drivers license.

Working Conditions:

• Work occurs in people's homes, community settings, and agency sites; may include standing, walking, and driving.
• May involve exposure to challenging behaviors and physical tasks; agency provides training and supports.
• May involve lifting or using equipment to facilitate mobility.
• May involve assisting with personal care.
