Job Description
Summary:

- Operates forklift to deliver or pick-up orders and supplies throughout the plant
- Monitors warehouse equipment, working conditions and operating methods for safety. Repairs or reports any unsafe conditions
- Bands, stretch wraps and otherwise prepares products for shipment
- Verifies product inventory levels and troubleshoots discrepancies
- Inventories finished goods and raw materials at the end of each inventory period
- Inventories boxes, wickets, cores and other supply items on a weekly basis as directed by warehouse manager.
- Assist in maintaining clean workspace, equipment and tools
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
- Hazmat requirements (outlined below)
- May assist in training new operators
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Monitors and facilitates equipment preventative maintenance
- Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
- Must be able to read, type, speak and understand English and maintain a cordial demeanor
Education
- High School diploma or GED; or
- 6 to 12 months forklift experience and/or training; or
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be able to read and interpret English language documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, company handbook, and procedure manuals.
- Must be able to speak and write in English effectively when presenting information to supervisors and fellow employees.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as; truck capacities, order quantities, and inventory levels. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, and decimals.
- Ability to compute and interpret basic math formulas, percentages, charts and graphs.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Must have completed all current training required by law and by Arkansas Poly & Printing, LLC. Must have a valid Driver’s License, and be able to pass a forklift Certification and possess a good driving record.
- While performing the duties required of this position, the employee is constantly required to stand for up to 12 hours, walk, use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- The employee will occasionally be required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Employee must regularly lift and/or move up to sixty-five (65) or more than sixty-five (65) pounds with assistance or proper equipment.
- Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- This role requires the employee to concentrate for long periods of time.
- The work environment includes moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles.
- There is the possibility the employee will occasionally be exposed to high precarious places, hazardous chemicals, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock.
- The noise level in the work environment can be considered loud.
- The temperature is not completely controlled and can be considered to be related to seasonal conditions.
