Director Of Sales

Do you enjoy meeting new people, driving sales, and witnessing the fruits of your labor? We're looking for a dedicated director of sales to assist the hotel in reaching its sales targets. You'll be in charge of developing our sales strategy and goals, training and assessing our sales force, collaborating with sales managers, and ensuring that we create new and recurring business from various hotel sectors. Responsibilities:

• Report on sales activities for the previous and future weeks in meetings with department leaders, and prepare a monthly expense report for all hotel sales-related expenditures
• Solicit new guests with targeted outbound sales initiatives, such as personal calls to your network and phone solicitations to local professionals, travel agencies, and other groups that will generate new revenue
• Develop and implement sales strategies that maintain high levels of occupancy and profitability through coordination with department managers
• Implement a strategic plan that aligns with revenue management and hotel objectives to assist the sales staff in meeting and exceeding room booking goals
• Analyze market data and use it to develop methods for meeting financial targets, designing marketing plan deliverables, and developing an annual sales forecast

Qualifications:

• This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• Prior experience in the hospitality field is a plus
• Exemplary communication skills, leadership skills, and analytical skills
• Must be able to use basic computer software including Microsoft Office
