Position Overview

Ark Basement Services is looking to hire a dependable, organized, and hands-on Field Operations Support Coordinator to help keep our crews, trucks, shop, and jobsites running smoothly.

This is not a full-time installer or laborer position. The main purpose of this role is to support the field crews before, during, and after jobs by making sure trucks are prepared, materials are organized, tools are accounted for, and jobsites have what they need.

This person will typically arrive at 7:00 AM before the crews and office are fully started, helping get the day organized and ready. The normal schedule will be 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

The ideal candidate is someone who is reliable, physically capable, organized, comfortable around construction materials and tools, and able to work independently without constant supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Shop Organization

  • Arrive at the shop by 7:00 AM and help prepare for the day before the crews leave.
  • Keep the shop, warehouse, tool areas, and material areas clean and organized.
  • Make sure tools, equipment, and materials are stored in the proper locations.
  • Help maintain an organized inventory of commonly used materials.
  • Notify management when materials, tools, or supplies are running low.
  • Keep walkways, loading areas, and storage areas safe and clear.
  • Help prevent wasted time by making sure crews can quickly find what they need.

Truck Preparation

  • Prep trucks before crews leave for jobs.
  • Help load materials, tools, pumps, pipe, drain board, gravel bags, concrete, plastic, and other job materials as needed.
  • Check trucks for missing tools or materials before jobs begin.
  • Make sure trucks are cleaned out, organized, and ready for the next day.
  • Help unload trucks when crews return from jobs.
  • Make sure tools and equipment are returned to the correct place after use.
  • Report damaged, missing, or broken tools and equipment to management.

Jobsite Support

  • Deliver tools, materials, or supplies to jobsites when needed.
  • Check on jobsites and report updates back to the office or management.
  • Help identify if crews are missing materials, tools, or equipment.
  • Take photos or notes when asked by management.
  • Help make sure jobsites have what they need to keep moving efficiently.
  • Assist with light jobsite support when needed, but this is not intended to be a full-time laborer role.

Material Handling

  • Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, suppliers, and jobsites.
  • Help receive deliveries and place materials in the correct shop location.
  • Pick up materials from suppliers when needed.
  • Keep frequently used materials stocked and easy to access.
  • Help reduce wasted material by keeping items organized and accounted for.

Communication

  • Communicate clearly with crews, office staff, and management.
  • Report issues such as missing materials, truck problems, jobsite needs, damaged tools, or safety concerns.
  • Follow daily checklists and instructions from management.
