Job Description
Arizona State University’s Knowledge Enterprise Research Technology Office (RTO) is seeking a Research Facilitator to join our dynamic and collaborative Research Engagement team. This is an exciting opportunity for a strong communicator and problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment at the intersection of science and technology — a connector and boundary spanne r who helps researchers turn ideas into impact.
As a Research Facilitator, the successful candidate will work closely with faculty, research staff, postdoctoral researchers, and students across a variety of domains to understand their research objectives and facilitate access to the appropriate research technologies and expertise to advance their work, including cyberinfrastructure (CI) systems, cloud computing, high-performance networks, secure and regulated platforms, research data resources, and research software and infrastructure solutions. In addition, the Research Facilitator will maintain awareness of information technology resources across the university, including Enterprise Technology, ASU Libraries, departmental IT groups, and other campus technology partners to ensure researchers have seamless access to the technology solutions and expertise necessary to achieve their research goals.
The Research Facilitator will ensure a positive user experience, applying knowledge of IT service delivery and user experience (UX) best practices to support research technology adoption. While this role will require familiarity and experience with a broad range of technologies and skills, candidates are not expected to have all knowledge listed. Rather, the ideal candidate will exhibit curiosity and the ability to learn new skills and expertise. Candidates with familiarity or experience in working with secure and regulated research platforms are highly encouraged to apply. The Research Facilitator reports to the RTO Director of Strategic Initiatives.
