The Sourcing Manager is responsible to lead strategic sourcing projects, obtain customer quotes, and drive cost savings across all direct and indirect material categories. This role acts as the key liaison between internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure alignment of sourcing strategies with business objectives. The role serves as a subject matter expert with no direct reports.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Follow and ensure compliance to quality system and cGMP programs.
• Lead all quoting activities, savings projects, and strategic initiatives. Collaborate with site leadership and stakeholders to effectively manage our supply base and ensure high levels of performance.
• Responsible for delivering established cost savings targets through competitive bidding process and effective negotiation of supply and service agreements. Manage all direct material costs, track and project PPV. Ensure complete contract compliance.
• Collaborate with internal customers to define business requirements and incorporate them in sourcing strategies and resulting agreements. Engage internal clients as a strategic versus tactical partner while creating value through Souring. Maintain high level of communication with site leadership.
• Stay abreast of market and industry trends in order to benchmark best practices and develop appropriate strategies. Make sourcing decisions considering total value to the company including quality, service, technology, risk, compliance, and cost.
• Develop and drive annual strategic sourcing plan.
Qualifications:
• Sourcing or project management experience.
• Must have a college degree or equivalent.
• Five years work experience.
• No certifications or licenses required.
• Must have complex math skills.
• Complex reading skills required.
• Complex computer skills needed.
• Must have complex language skills.
• Must have complex writing skills.
• Must be willing to learn new tasks and procedures.
• Ability to efficiently and effectively perform all essential position duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation without posing a direct safety threat to others or self.
• Maintains a regular and dependable work attendance record with few instances of unplanned and/or unexpected absence.
