General Job Brief:
Arizona Christian University (ACU) invites applications for the position of Head Coach – Women’s Lacrosse. This is a unique opportunity to launch and lead a new intercollegiate club program at one of the fastest-growing Christian universities in the country. The Head Coach will provide overall leadership, vision, and daily management of the Women’s Lacrosse program. This position is responsible for building a biblically integrated culture of excellence that develops students spiritually, academically, and athletically. The coach will recruit and mentor students who will thrive in the classroom, in competition, and in their faith, while establishing ACU Women’s Lacrosse as a competitive and mission-driven program. The position may also contribute to the overall administration of the intercollegiate club sports program based on specific ability.
This role also requires a comprehensive understanding of and commitment to the unique Christian mission and vision of ACU to Transform Culture with Truth, and the ability to advance that mission and vision through the performance of its duties, including person-to-person mentorship and discipleship.
Duties, Tasks, Responsibilities:
Head Coach, Women’s Lacrosse
- Establish and maintain a culture of faith, influence, relationships, and excellence.
- Launch and develop the Women’s Lacrosse program
- Build a strong national and regional recruiting network to attract high-character students who will represent ACU with excellence on and off the field.
- Direct all aspects of day-to-day operations for Women’s Lacrosse, including recruitment, training, practice, scheduling, travel, and competition management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with other programs on campus and help steward the maintenance and care for on campus facilities.
- Collaborate with the Advancement to support fundraising initiatives that advance the Women’s Lacrosse program.
- Ensure students meet academic and eligibility standards, while promoting personal growth, spiritual formation, and academic accountability.
- Provide mentorship, prayer, and ongoing spiritual support to students in the program.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Club Sports Coordinator - Sports Information or Game Operations
Collaborate with Club Sports staff to provide additional support in either:
- Sports Information: Maintain and update the club sports website, coordinate social media and press releases, and ensure that game coverage and communications align with University standards.
- Game Operations: Assist in game day planning and execution, including staffing, event setup, facility coordination, and providing a positive game day experience for athletes and spectators.

- Commitment to the University’s faith statement, mission, and purposes; and an active Christian faith.
- Comfort and familiarity with the practice of praying with and for others, including students, faculty, and fellow University staff.
- The ability to meaningfully support and encourage students, faculty, and staff from a biblical worldview perspective, using relevant and applicable references from the Old and New Testaments and orthodox Christian writings.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred).
- Playing or coaching experience and full understanding of the growing sport.
- Demonstrated connection to the Christian Mission and Core Commitments of the University.
Working Conditions:
- General Women’s Lacrosse environment.
- Office hours to accomplish administrative tasks.
- Meeting with student as needed.
- Travel to competition and recruitment as needed.
Time Required:
- Standard college Women’s Lacrosse calendar for in-season and out-of-season.
- Year-round recruitment and communication expectations.
