We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Live-In Caregiver to provide exceptional in-home care for individuals requiring ongoing support. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient observation to monitor health status and respond promptly to changes or emergencies.
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support.
- Administer medications accurately following medical instructions and document medication administration in medical records or electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Support clients with specialized care needs such as Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, memory care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities.
- Conduct vital signs assessments such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates; report findings as needed.
- Operate medical equipment including Hoyer lifts, catheters, and other assistive devices safely while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions; assist with cooking and meal planning to promote health and well-being.
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment for clients.
- Support home & community care initiatives by coordinating with healthcare providers and ensuring continuity of care in the client’s home setting.
Experience
- Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with disabilities or complex medical conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease or dementia.
- Experience with long-term care settings involving patient observation, medication administration, and medical documentation.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, CPR certification, catheter care, hospice support, and dementia-specific strategies is essential.
- Proven ability to handle caregiving responsibilities independently while maintaining professionalism and compassion in a live-in setting.
