Shop Manager / Material Coordinator
We are seeking a highly qualified, self-starting, hands-on, and experienced Shop Manager/Mechanic. This position is responsible for the safe distribution of project materials to support field construction activities. All of our projects rely on the proper material in the proper quantity in the proper denomination, color, variety and be available at or before the time of need of installation. Therefore, the following tasks, procedures, and responsibilities make up, but are not necessarily limited to, the position of Shop Manager/Mechanic.

Responsibilities
Make sure that all inventory is safely handled and stored in accordance with requirements and
specifications.
Handles the receiving, counting, and inspection of materials delivered to the construction
site/warehouse/lay-down yard; reconciles any discrepancies, including QA/QC issues, overage,
shortage, damage, or other concerns.
Oversees and coordinates the placement and distribution of materials and equipment onto
different trucks, ensuring safe transportation to and from construction sites, with a potential need
for delivery services.
Handles and resolves material-related questions and problems by coordinating directly between
project managers, suppliers, fabricators, construction teams, or other management staff.
Conducts on-site material audits to verify the accuracy of inventory.
Keeps track of all files, receipts, and records pertaining to lay-down yard inventory and
operations.
Manages, coordinates, and oversees the offloading and storage of materials upon receipt or
issuance for construction.
Handles project closeout tasks for materials, purchase orders, and other contract requirements,
ensuring proper disposition instructions for excess materials are obtained.
Engages in a diverse range of general and semi-skilled maintenance activities.
Manages and repairs a variety of equipment.
Conducts repairs and maintenance either in the maintenance shop or out in the field.
Keeps the yard safe and orderly through the implementation of proper housekeeping practices.
Helps with the execution of project mobilization and/or demobilization efforts.
Follows internal standards, policies, and procedures.
Flexibility to work on an irregular schedule and meet necessary deadlines.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Familiarity with receiving processes involving physical counts, inspections, inventory
management, storage, and material issuance.
This role involves troubleshooting, welding, mechanical and electrical repair, and maintenance on
vehicles, equipment, and installations used at the shop as needed.
Welding Experience Is Preferred But Not Mandatory.
Must be able to work in a construction environment under all weather conditions.
Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and construction equipment.
Must have demonstrable experience towing a trailer.
Must be comfortable using a smartphone and apps
No DUI incidents within the last 5 years, no felonies, must be at least 21 years old, possess a
valid U.S. driver's license for a minimum of 12 months, and a drug screen is mandatory.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, carry, reach, push, pull, move and/or carry objects. Some
objects may weigh more than 50 pounds. Ability to climb/balance on stairs/ladders; frequent
stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity.
