Position Summary

The welding support position will be responsible for sorting and preparing structural carts for the frame welding department. They will work closely with the welding and structural lead to ensure all parts are correct and accounted for.

Functions Of The Position

• Reviews blueprints & bill of materials.
• Verifies dimensions of completed parts using a tape measure.
• Converts decimals and fraction as needed.
• Sorts and organizes tables of completed materials from structural department.
• Moves parts from structural tables to welding department carts by section.
• Works closely with structural, welding, and metal fab leads as needed to support team.
• Performs tasks such as cutting and grinding.
• Training position that will need to learn some welding functions.
• Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly.
• Must be able to lift to 50 pounds.
• Reliable transportation is a must.
• Must be able to bend, twist, push and pull.
• Must have a can-do, positive attitude, and the ability to thrive working in a fast-paced team environment.
• Must pass a background check and drug test.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
  
  

Education / Experience

• Ability to communicate effectively, work well with a team, and take direction from supervisors.
• The ability to read a tape measure accurately is a must.
• Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
• Must have your own steel toe boots and tape measure.
• Familiarity with using hand tools, power tools, Piranha Iron Worker, and plasma cutting, is a plus.
