Responsibilities:
- Communicate shipping requests with global customers, partners, and vendors.
- Source pricing & cultivate relationships with vendor and partners at various levels.
- Manage cost and margin at the shipment level.
- Coordinate all aspects of bookings with partners & carriers.
- Coordinate loading/unloading, departure/arrival of shipments throughout transportation.
- Execute required Customs and Census Bureau Filings as necessary.
- Prepare and review import documentation.
- Manage multiple shipments simultaneously through to completion to ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications/Skills:
Desired:
- Multiple years' experience in Import operations
- Prior Experience in International Forwarding
- Thorough knowledge of international transportation
- Experience across multiple modes of transportation
- Familiarity with US Import Regulatory Requirements
- Haz-Mat Certifications – IATA/IMDG/DOT
