Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Fine Jewelry Illustrator to support our design team on a part-time, contract basis. This role is ideal for someone with a strong artistic eye and a deep understanding of jewelry construction, who can translate design concepts into precise, compelling illustrations. The ideal candidate is both creatively intuitive and technically fluent, with the ability to iterate on existing collections while contributing to new design development.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed hand-drawn and/or digital illustrations of fine jewelry designs
- Translate conceptual ideas into accurate, production-aware sketches
- Collaborate closely with the design team to refine and evolve existing collections
- Iterate on current designs with thoughtful adjustments to proportion, scale, and setting mechanics
- Ensure all illustrations reflect a clear understanding of gemstones, metal types, and structural integrity
Qualifications
- Solid understanding of jewelry construction and mechanics (settings, stone placement, wearability)
- Ability to balance creativity with technical precision
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of proportion, materials, and form
