What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radiology Technologist position at Aria Vascular?
- Perform diagnostic examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and addressing question and concerns.
- Position patients accurately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Operate and maintain radiographic equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow radiation safety guidelines to protect patients, staff and self.
- Verify patient identity and medical history before procedures.
- Evaluate images for quality and repeat exams when necessary.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Assist radiologist and physicians during ng specialized imaging procedures as needed.
- Ensure imaging equipment is clean, calibrated and functioning properly.
- Adhere to infection control safty, and HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide quality patient care.
- Scrub in and assist for procedures and interventional Radiology and vascular surgeons .
- Strong knowledge of radiographic anatomy and imaging techniques.
- Excellent patient care and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to image quality.
- Knowledge of radiation protection principles.
- Proficiency with PACS and electronic medical records systems.
- Ability to lift and position patients safely.
- Strong team work and critical thinking skills.
- Interventional and Vascular experience required in OBL (Office Base Lab)
Pay: $60.00 - $80.00 per hour
Education:
- Associate (Preferred)
Experience:
- Clinical or hospital: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- ARRT (BS) Certification (Preferred)
