A Receptionist welcomes visitors to the facility by greeting them, in person or on the telephone, directs visitors by maintaining employee and department directories, and maintains security by following visitor/resident procedures. Receptionist Essential Job Functions:
- Answers phones and operates a switchboard.
- Routes calls to facility departments.
- Takes and relays messages to facility departments.
- Sends emails and faxes.
- Greets visitors warmly and ensures they are comfortable.
- Ensures reception is tidy.
- Coordinates mail flow in and out of the facility.
- Performs basic bookkeeping, filing, and clerical duties.
- Assists Business Office Manager with accounts payable receipts.
- Hands out employment applications.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to organize, multitask, prioritize and work under pressure
