Computer Tech (Assembly/Build)

IDEAL for anybody that builds or fixes computers, tablets, phones as primary employment or as a side hustle

Duties

• Assemble computer systems and peripherals according to specifications.
• Fabricate components as needed for repairs or upgrades.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to perform installations and repairs.
• Diagnose hardware issues using an ohmmeter and other testing equipment.
• Work with surface mount technology for circuit board assembly and repair.
• Interpret schematics to understand system layouts and wiring configurations.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and time spent on each task.
• Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance service delivery.

Skills

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics.
• Experience with electrical wiring techniques.
• Ability to fabricate components as required for specific tasks.
• Competence in using an ohmmeter for diagnostics.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools for assembly and repair tasks.
• Knowledge of logic controllers and their applications in computer systems.
