We currently have an opening for a Temp-To-Hire Front Office Medical Assistant. Experience in Gastroenterology preferred.
Job Type: Full-time, Temp-To-Hire
Pay: $21-24 per hour
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm
Duties
This Temp-To-Hire Front Office Medical Assistant plays a key role in maintaining smooth clinic operations while providing a welcoming, patient-focused experience. Duties include patient check-in and check-out, verifying demographic and insurance information, collecting copays and outstanding balances, and scheduling office appointments and GI procedures. The position also handles incoming calls, confirms appointments, shares preparation instructions, processes prior authorizations, and ensures accurate documentation within the electronic health record system. This role requires strict adherence to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and a willingness to perform additional duties as needed to support overall clinical workflow.
Qualifications And Skills
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of clinical front office experience, with gastroenterology experience preferred. Bilingual Spanish is required. Candidates must demonstrate excellent customer service skills, strong organizational abilities, and proficiency in EMR systems. A thorough understanding of HIPAA regulations and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality are essential for this role.
