When you clock in at our Wisconsin plastics plant, you step into the problem-solver’s seat. Your morning might start with reviewing CAD files and blueprints for a new mold insert, then heading to the toolroom to set up a mill and surface grinder. By midday, you could be dialing in EDM parameters to hit tight tolerances; by afternoon, collaborating with Engineering and Production to debug a fixture that’s slowing a line. Throughout, your craftsmanship ensures production runs smoothly and parts meet spec.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay: $28 /hr (based on experience)
• Shifts:
  • 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
  • 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM

What you’ll build and maintain

• Fabricate, repair, and modify dies, molds, jigs, and fixtures from engineering drawings and specifications
• Operate manual and CNC lathes, mills, grinders, and EDM equipment with precision
• Inspect tooling to verify tolerances and conformance to quality requirements

Keep tools running at their best

• Perform preventive maintenance on existing tooling to maximize life and performance
• Document repairs, adjustments, and PM activities for traceability

Partner across the floor

• Work with Engineering, Production, and Quality to troubleshoot tooling issues
• Offer design-for-manufacturability input to improve tool longevity and part quality

Quality & safety mindset

• Follow all safety policies and standard work practices
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area using 5S
• Deliver tooling that meets stringent quality expectations and production needs

What you bring

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or apprenticeship preferred
• 3 years of tool and die or mold-making experience in a manufacturing setting
• Fluency in reading blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical documentation
• Hands-on experience with manual and CNC machine tools
• Knowledge of materials, machining processes, and heat treatment
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
