What You’ll Do
- Perform design and analysis of electrical systems in alignment with applicable codes and industry standards
- Prepare and review calculations, drawings, and technical specifications with guidance from senior engineers
- Support execution of project components while managing assigned tasks independently
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate design efforts and troubleshoot technical challenges
- Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, including reports and technical data
- Participate in QA/QC reviews to ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency across deliverables
- Provide guidance and support to junior engineers as appropriate
- Continuously build technical knowledge through ongoing learning and industry engagement
- Utilize engineering tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, SKM, and Visual Lighting in project design
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- 2 years of relevant engineering experience, including exposure to design and project execution
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
- Proficiency with engineering software (AutoCAD, Revit, SKM, Visual Lighting)
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and applicable standards
- Ability to manage routine tasks independently while seeking guidance on more complex work
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Clear and effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Based in our Overland Park, KS office
- Primarily in-office role with flexibility
- Occasional, project-dependent travel to client sites and meetings
