We’ve been walking dogs around Brookline, Newton, and Jamaica Plain for almost 25 years.

Which means we’ve seen quite a bit: New England weather changing her mind every 20 minutes. Tiny dogs with enormous opinions. Convincing a 70-pound dog that, yes, we really are walking in the rain today. Watching a nervous new dog slowly decide that you are, in fact, one of their people. Squirrels who seem personally committed to making our jobs more interesting. Getting soaked, muddy, frozen, or ridiculously sweaty—and then having a dog greet you like your arrival is the best thing that has happened all day. Learning which dog needs encouragement, which one needs patience, and which one is absolutely trying to outsmart you. The dog who spots the discarded chicken bone before you do — and figuring out how to get it away from them without losing a finger. Getting a raincoat onto a dog who has very strong feelings about sleeves...

And somehow… we still believe this is one of the best jobs in the world.

What You’ll Do

Your office changes every 20–45 minutes — and your coworkers have four legs.

You’ll walk and care for client dogs, travel between homes using your own vehicle, follow detailed care instructions, communicate with our team, and provide safe, thoughtful, professional care.

What We’re Looking For

· 18 years of age or older

· Reliable access to a vehicle that you can consistently use for work

· Valid driver’s license and safe driving record

· Comfortable and confident handling large dogs (60 lbs.)

· Dependable

· Punctual and committed to arriving on time

· A team player who understands that everyone at Argos depends on one another

· Strong communication skills

· Self-motivated and comfortable working independently

· Kind, calm, patient, and professional

· Detail-oriented and eager to learn

· Comfortable working outdoors year-round in New England weather

· Willingness to assist with weekend and holiday coverage

· Able to complete a background check
