Position Overview

The Shipping Clerk is accountable for shipping, receiving, and materials management. 

Job Summary and Responsibilities:

●  Ship orders using SAP software, UPS World Ship, Pacejet, or other carrier’s programs.

●  Receive material, label, and move material to proper storage location when incoming quality inspection is complete.

●  Maintain warehouse location accuracy.

●  Order shipping supplies including but not limited to cartons, tape, etc.

●  Solve logistics issues. Contact suppliers/carriers to expedite late or critical shipments.

●  Work in a cross functional team environment as a strong team player and demonstrate ability to work with other functional groups to achieve company-wide on-time delivery, quality, and profitability goals. Critical thinking skills are a must. 

 Education/ Work Experience:

●  Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse procedures, shipping, receiving, and material management

●  Strong computer literacy required.

 Knowledge and Skills:

●   Experience with SAP or a similar system is a plus.

●  Understanding of production flow and Purchasing/Production. 

●  Understanding of inventory management.

●  Proven communication skills, both verbally and in writing.

●  Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word Skills are preferred.

●  Need to be able to lift 50 pounds.
