Salary: $5,500/monthBusiness Development reps are responsible for developing highly qualified sales leads for the Areya Media sales team. The BDR will generate new business opportunities and create new relationships with Areyas targeted B2B audience. You will identify and research lists of prospective organizations, develop effective email/telephone campaigns, and generate a qualified pipeline for our business.The Business Development Rep has the following responsibilities and duties.Prospect, uncover and develop new opportunities from outbound activities such as cold calling and email campaignsBuild a strong pipeline of sales opportunities for the Areya Media sales team to deliver on sales targetsMeet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual qualified sales opportunities targetsSuccessfully manage, document, and overcome prospect objectionsCapture all relevant customer information and sales activities completely into our CRM (HubSpot) in order to advance the sales cycleBecome a trusted resource and develop superior relationships with prospectsWork with inventory management and AdOps teams to develop media plans for client campaignsThe Business Development Rep should have the following:Dynamic, high-energy sales professional with 3 - 5 years of successful experience in a Business Development role within an intense, fast-paced, goal-oriented environment. Ideally, in the music, entertainment, or cultural digital media industry.Knowledge of Hip Hop culture, African culture, African music (Afrobeats, Amapiano, etc), and a grasp on the nuances in African diaspora cultures is a must.Previous experience working in an outbound position.Previous sales experience for any media company is a plus.Exceptionally strong verbal and written communication skills, being comfortable communicating with C-suite/Director/VP level is a mustGood telephone presence, self-starter and results-driven personalityExcellent time management and prioritizing abilities.Must be available to work in Eastern Time Zone work hoursWhile performing the responsibilities of the job, the following are working conditions will be encountered.
