Job Summary
A physical therapist assistant provides physical therapy treatments to patients/clients under the direction of a physical therapist. Supervision from a physical therapist is provided in accordance with State requirements.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Maintain an average of 11 patient visits per clinical day.
Net Promoter Score (NPS)
Achieve and sustain ≥ 95% patient satisfaction score.
Clinical Documentation Timeliness
Close out 100% of notes within 24 hours of visit completion.
Clinic Audit Score
Maintain an audit score of ≥ 95% based on clinical quality, compliance, and documentation standards.
Plan Of Care Adherence
Ensure that ≥ 85% of patients complete their full prescribed plan of care (Length of Stay).
Physical Requirements
This role operates in a fast-paced outpatient clinic setting, requiring prolonged periods of standing, walking, and manual therapy. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

- Carry out individual physical therapy treatment plans that have been developed by a physical therapist.
- Apply modalities to patients in accordance with established procedures and Plan of Care.
- Train patients in exercise, ambulation, activities of daily living, use of adaptive equipment and positioning aids.
- Document patient/client progress by adding to and maintaining ongoing records such as progress notes.
- Refer patients to other services when appropriate.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Notify supervising therapists when patient needs evaluation in accordance with the State practice laws.
- Participate in in-services to broaden knowledge of physical therapy and other related topics.
- Participate in educational programs that meet the States CEU requirements and licensure.
- Provide in-services on continuing education courses to other staff members.
- Participate in special outpatient programs.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Graduate from an A.P.T.A approved school of physical therapy assisting with associate degree.
- Licensure by Maryland, Virginia, or North Carolina Board of Physical Therapist Examiners.
- Current State Physical Therapy Assistant License.
- To maintain employment in good standing and be eligible for incentive compensation, the following monthly performance standards are required:
