What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Structural Engineer position at Arena Event Services?
✨ Work on Events the World Talks About
At Arena, we turn bold ideas into unforgettable experiences. Our teams design, build, and deliver world‑class event spaces for global names like Formula 1, the Ryder Cup, and the PGA Tour — and we do it on some of the biggest stages in the world.
With projects across the US, UK, Middle East, and Asia, you’ll gain hands‑on experience, work with industry experts, and see your work come to life in real time. If you’re looking for a fast‑paced environment, real responsibility, and the chance to be part of something exciting from day one, Arena is the place to grow your career.
🏗️ You’ll Love This Role
As our Sr. Structural Design Engineer, you’ll own the engineering of complex structural systems — from temporary event pavilions to permanent installations — for some of the most high-profile events on the planet. You’ll work across the full project lifecycle, seal your own calculations and drawings, and see your designs physically built in the field. If you’re a licensed PE who wants more than a desk job and enjoys the challenge of practical, real-world engineering, this is a role you can genuinely build a career around.
🔩 What You’ll Be Doing
🔹 Lead structural design & analysis — perform and seal advanced structural calculations, drawings, and construction documents for event-driven projects across the U.S.
🔹 Own projects end-to-end — manage engineering scope from proposal through installation, partnering with Project Managers and installation crews to solve real field challenges.
🔹 Get out of the office — conduct site visits and field observations to validate your designs and support installation teams on active event sites.
🔹 Mentor and lead — provide technical guidance to junior engineers and draftspeople, coordinate engineering workflows across concurrent projects, and drive standardization and best practices.
🔹 Be the technical voice — serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and consultants, representing Arena’s engineering expertise in project meetings and design reviews.
