Travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Inpatient Rehab

Hilo, Hawaii

We are seeking a Travel Speech-Language Pathologist for a 26-week inpatient rehab contract in Hilo, Hawaii. This role is a great fit for an experienced medical SLP who is comfortable in inpatient rehab, acute care, dysphagia management, and completing modified barium swallow studies independently.

This opportunity offers a strong clinical environment with a varied rehab caseload and the chance to take an extended assignment in one of Hawaii’s most unique locations.

• Perform speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing evaluations.
• Provide treatment for dysphagia, communication, cognitive-linguistic, and medically complex patient needs.
• Complete modified barium swallow studies independently in radiology.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and physician orders.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, PT, OT, and interdisciplinary rehab team members.
• Complete timely documentation and progress reporting.
• Float to other departments or facility locations as needed.

• Hawaii SLP license required by start of assignment.
• Candidate must apply for Hawaii license upon acceptance if not already active.
• BLS required.
• Acute care experience required.
• Must be competent completing MBS independently.
• Minimum 1 year of experience required.
• 2 years of experience preferred.
• SNF, hospital, or rehab hospital experience preferred.
