The ideal candidate is a highly analytical leader who will join our senior management team. We’re seeking a high-capacity operations director with executive potential. This Director of Operations will help lead and scale a high-performing, growth-oriented Non-Profit organization and will focus on continued expansion, workforce development, advocacy leadership, and long-term capital stability while leading event planning and execution.
This is a hands-on leadership position with executive trajectory, working directly with the existing team, senior leadership, a highly engaged Board, and local and state-level stakeholders. Our ideal candidate will have experience scaling a multi-revenue-stream organization, demonstrated leadership with strong financial performance and reporting, leading a small, high-performing team, supporting industry advocacy and public policy engagement and building systems that support long-term growth.
Responsibilities Include:
- Day-to-day events leadership and operations support and team leadership (~2 staff).
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and executive reporting.
- Driving operational efficiency and performance metrics.
- Leading growth across membership, programs, and events with a focus on detail and engagement.
- Engaging with local, regional, and state elected officials and stakeholders
- Supporting advocacy efforts in coordination with industry and policy leaders
- Participating in civic, legislative, and industry-facing discussions.
Preferred candidates will demonstrate:
- 3 years of progressive leadership experience in an operations management or director level role managing teams of no less than 2 people.
- Demonstrated proficiency managing budgets and financial performance over $1 Million.
- Day-to-Day engagement with executive leadership and Boards.
- Proven growth and operational scaling experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency engaging with external stakeholders, including public officials or policy environments.
- Experience engaging in advocacy or public affairs.
- Effective and timely communication skills and professional presence.
- Experience in association management, construction industry, chamber leadership, economic development, or policy-driven organizations or related sectors is highly relevant.
- Bachelor’s Degree is required, MBA a plus.
This is a full-time, non-hybrid work environment. With a north central San Antonio office location, engagements and events are region-wide and include evenings and some weekends. Compensation is commensurate with experience. Strong incentives, benefits and growth opportunities are hallmarks of this Not-for-Profit. Relocation will be considered.

Salary : $95,000 - $120,000
