Your Responsibilities
- Perform departmental precision maintenance by completing work orders assigned.
- Perform general buildings and grounds repairs as necessary.
- Monitor and repair general plant equipment such as air compressors, dryers, boilers, etc.
- Understand how to work safely and speak up when you do not
- Continue to learn new skills and grow in your maintenance expertise
- Train other maintenance and reliability technicians
- Be proficient in at least intermediate-level mechanical and electrical capabilities
- Must be clean shaven in order to perform tasks where respiratory protection is required and the use of a respirator (including N-95 dust mask) requires a proper seal for adequate protection.
- High School diploma or GED
- 3 years of experience in Maintenance in manufacturing environment
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Effectively use computer applications
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, including ability to problem solve
- Demonstrated proficiency in intermediate-level technical competencies, for example, predictive and preventative maintenance, electrical systems, and troubleshooting
- Experience with welding and fabrication
- Knowledge of food safety requirements and HACCP
- Knowledge of equipment and machinery typical of the grain processing industry.
- Knowledge of Packers, Conveyors, Labelers, Palletizers and Stretch wrapping machinery.
- Knowledge and understanding of 480V / 3PH electricity.
- Knowledge and understanding of PLC’s with the ability to read ladder logic.
- CMRT certification
- Associate’s degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field
- Experience with carpentry, fabrication and plumbing.
- Ability to install ductwork, spouting, and other sheet metal work as required.
- Must be able to climb and work at heights to 130ft.
- Must be able to tolerate outside year-round weather conditions.
- Must be able to work in environments typical of grain processing facilities.
- A hands-on skills assessment will be administered to ensure adequate knowledge in the above requirements.
