POSITION SUMMARY

Ardan is seeking a highly skilled and technology-driven Accounting Manager to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, and process improvement initiatives across Ardan and its subsidiaries. This role will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, managing month-end and year-end close processes, supporting audits, and leveraging technology to improve efficiency and scalability. 

The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting expertise with advanced proficiency in accounting systems, Excel, data analytics, and emerging AI tools. This individual will be a key contributor to the organization's digital transformation efforts and help drive automation and continuous improvement throughout the finance function.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Financial Reporting & Accounting  

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for multiple entities. 
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP. 
• Oversee account reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of reconciling items. 
• Review journal entries, accruals, allocations, and intercompany transactions. 
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures. 
• Assist with technical accounting research and implementation of new accounting standards. 
• Maintain supporting schedules for audits, tax reporting, and regulatory requirements. 
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis initiatives. 

Consolidations & Multi-Entity Accounting  

• Manage accounting activities across Ardan and its subsidiaries. 
• Prepare consolidation entries and elimination schedules. 
• Maintain ownership structures, equity schedules, and intercompany reconciliations. 
• Assist with partnership, corporate, and consolidated reporting requirements. 
• Coordinate with subsidiary leadership to ensure consistency of accounting practices. 

 Audit & Compliance  

• Serve as a primary liaison with external auditors. 
• Coordinate annual financial statement audits and other compliance engagements. 
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and corporate governance requirements. 
• Assist with implementation and monitoring of process controls and risk management initiatives. 

 Technology & Process Improvement   

• Identify opportunities to automate accounting processes and reduce manual effort. 
• Lead initiatives involving accounting software optimization and workflow automation. 
• Develop and maintain financial dashboards, reporting tools, and data visualizations. 
• Partner with IT and operational teams to improve system integrations and data quality. 
• Evaluate and implement emerging technologies that improve accounting efficiency and reporting accuracy. 

  Artificial Intelligence & Data Analytics   

• Utilize AI-powered tools to enhance financial analysis, reporting, and workflow automation. 
• Develop prompts, templates, and procedures for AI-assisted accounting processes. 
• Leverage AI solutions to improve data extraction, reconciliations, variance analysis, and reporting. 
• Stay current on developments in AI, automation, and accounting technology and recommend practical applications for the organization. 

   Required Qualifications   

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 
• 5 years of progressive accounting experience. 
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements. 
• Experience managing month-end close and financial statement preparation. 
• Experience supporting external audits. 
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 
• Excellent organizational and communication skills. 
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.  

  Preferred Qualifications   

• CPA designation preferred. 
• Public accounting experience preferred. 
• Experience with multi-entity organizations and consolidated reporting. 
• Experience with partnership accounting and equity structures. 
• Experience in real estate, title insurance, financial services, or professional services industries. 
• Experience supervising accounting staff.

Within the first 12 months, the Accounting Manager will:

• Strengthen reconciliation and review processes. 
• Increase automation of recurring accounting activities. 
• Develop AI-assisted workflows that improve productivity and accuracy. 
• Enhance management reporting and financial analytics. 
• Support the successful completion of annual audits with minimal adjustments. 
• Contribute to the scalability of Ardan's finance organization as the business grows.
