Arcrite Automation is seeking a motivated Controls/Automation Technician to join our team full time located in Waterford, CT.

Job Responsibilities
- Design, program, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and robotic systems for automated manufacturing cells
- Support installation, startup, and commissioning of robotic welding and automation equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and programming issues to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with engineering and fabrication teams to ensure systems meet project specifications.
- Perform system testing, validation, and quality checks prior to customer handoff.
- Provide technical support, training, and documentation for operators and maintenance personnel.
- Travel to customer sites as needed for service, upgrades, and system support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or associate's degree in a technical field a plus.
- 3-5 years of electrical controls and PLC programming.
- Industrial robotics experience a plus (ABB, Kawasaki, Kuka, etc).
- Industrial controls network experience, i.e. DeviceNet, EtherNet, EtherNet/IP.
- Understanding of manipulator arms and operation.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions with little oversight.
- Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to communicate with both internal and external customers.
- Responsible, organized, and dedicated with strong organizational skills.
- Highly motivated.
- Ability to adapt to change quickly and with ease.
- Ability to travel on an as needed basis.
- Focus on deadline achievement.
