Position Summary
The Control/Process Operator supports continuous batch operations by monitoring and controlling automated production systems. This role requires regular area walkarounds, adherence to strict quality standards, and close coordination with team members to ensure safe, efficient production. The operator is expected to identify process deviations and assist in corrective actions while following all safety policies and procedures.
What You Will Do:
- Operate and monitor process equipment safely and efficiently
- Operate overhead cranes to move materials within process areas
- Perform quality checks, water testing, and material sampling
- Conduct basic preventive maintenance on assigned equipment
- Maintain mobile equipment such as loaders, forklifts, and manlifts
- Communicate equipment or process issues promptly to supervision
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all safety requirements and actively support safety improvement initiatives
- Perform additional duties as assigned
What You Will Need:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Manufacturing or industrial experience preferred
- Technical aptitude with willingness to learn new skills
- Strong attention to detail and work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to read and complete required documentation
- Forklift, manlift, or loader experience preferred but not required
Working Conditions and Physical Environment: This position involves work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to varying weather conditions, dust, and noise. Duties require standing, walking, climbing, lifting up to 75 pounds, and frequent use of hands and arms. Vision requirements include close vision and depth perception.
