Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate all aspects of banquet and event operations, ensuring the successful execution of each event.
- Collaborate with event planners, clients, and internal teams to understand event requirements and expectations.
- Supervise banquet staff, including servers, bartenders, and support staff.
- Provide clear instructions and guidance to ensure the team delivers exceptional service.
- Oversee the setup and breakdown of banquet spaces, ensuring proper placement of tables, chairs, linens, and decorations.
- Conduct pre-event inspections to ensure all details are in place.
- Interact with clients and guests to ensure their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
- Address any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Train and mentor banquet staff on service standards, procedures, and customer interaction.
- Conduct pre-event briefings to communicate event details and expectations.
- Monitor the quality of food and beverage service to ensure it meets or exceeds standards.
- Address any service-related issues and implement improvements as needed.
- Previous experience as a Banquet Captain or in a similar supervisory role in the hospitality industry.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service and event planning.
