Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – Neurosurgery
Location: Syracuse, NY
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Compensation: $100,000 – $130,000 annually, based on experience
Position Overview:
A Neurosurgery team is seeking an experienced and motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide comprehensive care in both outpatient and surgical settings. Under physician supervision, the NP/PA will perform patient assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, assist in surgical procedures, and provide patient education and follow-up care. This position primarily supports the outpatient clinic with 1–2 days per week in the inpatient surgical setting.
Qualifications:
Current New York State certification/registration as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Ability to work effectively in high-pressure and surgical environments
Strong understanding of infection control, patient safety, and health education principles
Experience in neurosurgery or a surgical specialty preferred
