Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to emergency calls for water damage, fire damage, mold remediation, or other restoration needs, demonstrating emergency response readiness.
- Perform cleaning tasks including carpet cleaning, debris removal, and surface sanitation using hand tools and power tools.
- Conduct asbestos abatement and lead removal procedures following strict safety protocols and respiratory protection guidelines.
- Operate company vehicles safely to transport equipment and personnel to job sites while adhering to all traffic laws and safety standards.
- Use Xactimate software for accurate damage assessment estimates and documentation.
- Apply personal protective equipment (PPE) properly during all restoration activities to ensure safety compliance.
- Execute flood restoration, water damage mitigation, mold remediation, fire restoration, and general cleaning projects with attention to detail.
- Assist in the setup of containment areas for hazardous materials like asbestos or lead-based paint during abatement projects.
- Support ongoing training in asbestos and lead hazard recognition while maintaining industry certifications.
- Collaborate closely with clients to provide excellent customer service throughout the restoration process.
- Follow all safety protocols diligently during every phase of work to prevent accidents or health hazards.
Experience
- Prior experience in the restoration industry or construction is highly preferred; however, comprehensive training is provided for qualified candidates eager to learn new skills.
- Demonstrated ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and company vehicles safely.
- Familiarity with safety standards related to respiratory protection and PPE use is advantageous.
- Experience in emergency response scenarios such as flood or water damage restoration is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Ability to work on-call hours as needed for emergency situations or after-hours projects.
- Knowledge of Xactimate software or similar estimating tools is beneficial but not required; training will be provided.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in various environmental conditions
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
