We are seeking a motivated and creative architecture student at the junior or senior collegiate level who has a passion for design and a strong work ethic. This internship offers hands-on experience, mentorship, and meaningful exposure to the architectural design process while supporting our design team.

What You’ll Learn & Experience
This internship is designed to provide exposure to multiple aspects of the architectural profession. Architectural Interns will be assigned a mentor and, with supervision, will have opportunities to participate in the following:
- Weekly shadowing opportunities to gain familiarity with the full design process.
- Accompanying Architects/Construction Administrators to project sites at various stages of construction.
- Participation in meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Learning about building code issues and solutions, including meetings with City of Rapid City code officials.
- Completing design tasks to develop skills in Revit and SketchUp/Enscape.
What We’re Looking For
- Junior or Senior Architecture student enrolled in an accredited institution.
- Experience with Revit, SketchUp, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Bluebeam, Enscape, or similar design/rendering software preferred.
- Are detail-oriented and able to manage multiple responsibilities with strong organization and follow-through.
- Collaborate effectively in a team setting while also working independently with guidance from our design staff.
- Bring strong interpersonal skills, including active listening, professionalism, and responsiveness.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, clients, contractors, and consultants.
- Are self-motivated, curious, and eager to learn.
- Think creatively and independently when approaching design challenges.
- Real project experience—not just busy work.
