Door Hardware Pre-Install Technician

Architectural Products of Virginia, “APV”, is an industry leader in commercial door, door hardware, and security product distribution, serving the construction industry in Virginia, Maryland, and DC. The Door Hardware Pre-Installation Technician is responsible for the preparation and assembly of door hardware components prior to installation. This includes reviewing specifications, ensuring all parts are available and in working order, and making necessary adjustments to ensure smooth installation on-site. This position reports directly to the Installation Manager.

Job Title: Door Hardware Pre-Installation Technician

Location: Ashland, VA

Pay Range: $18.00 to $22.00 per hour

About the Role: 

• Install Hardware properly by using Pre-Installation Equipment on jobs requiring pre-installation.  
• Ability to use tools and equipment to install or correct installation when necessary to complete project.
• Assist Installation Manager as requested.
• May be asked to assist in other areas of the Warehouse and Shop as needed.

Requirements: 

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• 2 years of construction work experience. 
• 2 years of carpentry experience.
• Any appropriate and effective combination of any of the above.
• Ability to successfully pass a background check and other pre-employment screenings.
• Satisfactory driving record.
