Job Summary
Architectural Millwork Ltd is seeking a skilled, detail-oriented, and dependable Custom Cabinet Maker to build and assemble high-quality custom cabinetry and millwork components. The ideal candidate will be experienced in woodworking, comfortable reading drawings and measurements, and committed to producing accurate, durable, and professionally finished work.
Key Responsibilities
- Build custom cabinets, millwork components, doors, panels, and related wood products.
- Read and interpret shop drawings, plans, specifications, and cutting lists.
- Measure, mark, cut, shape, and assemble wood and composite materials accurately.
- Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Perform drilling, routing, sanding, edging, and other fabrication processes.
- Inspect finished pieces for accuracy, fit, quality, and appearance.
- Make adjustments and modifications to ensure proper installation and alignment.
- Prepare components for finishing, delivery, or installation.
- Maintain organized workstations, tools, materials, and production areas.
- Follow production schedules, quality standards, and workplace safety procedures.
- Coordinate with designers, installers, and other production team members when needed.
- Identify material or fabrication issues and communicate them to supervisors.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in cabinet making, millwork, carpentry, or woodworking preferred.
- Strong knowledge of woodworking tools, machinery, materials, and fabrication techniques.
- Ability to read drawings, measurements, and technical specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision.
- Good understanding of cabinet construction, joinery, and assembly methods.
