Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Assembly Technician to join our Fittings Metal Shop team. This role is responsible for pulling parts for orders, assembling components, managing inventory, and preparing finished products for shipment. Key Responsibilities
Order Fulfillment & Assembly
- Pull and prepare parts accurately based on work orders and specifications.
- Assemble metal components and hardware for custom products, ensuring proper fit and finish.
- Inspect parts and completed assemblies to ensure they meet company quality standards.
Inventory & Materials Management
- Maintain organized inventory of parts, hardware, and materials.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with restocking supplies.
- Communicate shortages or reorder needs to the supervisor.
Fabrication & Packaging
- Safely operate shop equipment including saws, sanders, and other tools.
- Assist with light fabrication tasks as needed.
- Package and prepare products for shipment, including box building when required.
- Ensure products are securely packaged to prevent damage during transit.
Quality Control
- Inspect completed assemblies for accuracy, alignment, and craftsmanship.
- Identify and report issues related to materials or assembly processes.
Shop Organization & Safety
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
- Follow all safety protocols and company standards for equipment use.
- Assist with general shop duties and equipment maintenance as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training a plus.
- Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing, fabrication, or inventory management preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift.

In 2021, the company launched Fittings Metal Collection, which designs and manufactures handcrafted metal shelving, wine racking, and architectural accents for luxury residential and hospitality spaces across the country.
This position is employed by Architectural Justice and works directly with the Fittings team in our metal shop, where craftsmanship, attention to detail, and teamwork are essential to delivering high-quality products to our customers.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
