What we expect of you as an Assembly Technician
As an Assembly Technician, you play a key role in building high-quality packaging machinery. You’ll assemble mechanical and electrical components according to blueprints and specifications, ensuring that every machine meets company standards for safety, precision, and performance.
What You’ll Do
Assemble parts and subassemblies to produce components used in packaging machinery.
Review assembly instructions, blueprints, and parts lists to prepare materials, tools, and subassemblies for each job.
Position and fit components accurately using templates, measurements, and precision tools.
Inspect and test connections for proper fit and function, making adjustments as needed.
Identify and resolve assembly issues by adjusting dimensions or notifying a supervisor for additional support.
Maintain equipment by performing preventive maintenance, following manufacturer guidelines, and reporting malfunctions.
Keep your work area clean, safe, and organized in accordance with company policies and safety regulations.
Use materials and resources efficiently to achieve production goals.
Collaborate with your team to meet production targets and quality standards.
Preferred Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
At least 2 years of experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or mechanical assembly environment.
Training or experience in machining, welding, or mechanical assembly preferred.
You’re Skilled At
Standing for extended periods while performing hands-on assembly tasks.
Working beneath machinery using a mechanic’s creeper or similar equipment to complete wiring or adjustments.
Lifting and moving up to 30 lbs. safely.
Reading, writing, and interpreting technical documents and plans in English.
Reading and interpreting mechanical blueprints and layouts of metal components.
Using a tape measure accurately, including reading 32nds and 64ths of an inch.
Operating sheet metal tools and machinery safely and effectively.
Using precision hand tools for electrical and mechanical assembly, including wire cutters, screwdrivers, and related equipment.
Reporting to the job site as required to complete assignments.
