Our work inspires a nation. We are the artisans, historians, and craftspeople who preserve and maintain the landmark buildings, monuments, art and grounds of the Capitol campus. This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol, Library Buildings & Grounds, Tenant Services Division, Projects Branch, Painting Night Section. As a Decorative Plasterer (Painter) you will perform intricate painting and decorative work requiring skill to restore decorative surfaces.

You must meet all eligibility and qualification requirements by the closing date of the job announcement. You must meet the following SCREEN-OUT(S) required for this position. Ability to perform decorative plasterer duties and responsibilities without more than normal supervision including: Applying and repairing plaster on metal, wood, gypsum lathe, wallboard, and masonry surfaces; Repairing plaster walls and ornamental plaster; Replicating original decorative design (i.e., Arabesque, Bay Leaf Imbricated, Bay Leaf Wreath, Cloth and Leaf Swags, Fluttering Ribbon, Guilloche, Greek Keys, Urns, Lanterns, Rinceaux, Anthemion, Acanthus, Zodiac Signs, Eggs and Darts and Stylize Dolphins) Using a computer for Daily reports and updates on projects and assignments
