Role Description
We are currently seeking an experienced, independent, motivated and technically fluent Senior Architect with 8 years of experience to join our team in a hybrid capacity. This position is based in Kingston, NY and requires a minimum of two days a week in the office. This is a full time position but we will consider project based collaboration if preferred. This position requires travelling from jobsite to jobsite on a weekly basis, owning a car is a requirement.

Position Overview & Responsibilities
In this role, you will be an active contributor to our iterative design and technical processes, helping us find balance between high-level design and rigorous detailing. Some of your responsibilities will be to:
- Lead in the preparation of schematic design, design development, and construction documentation packages primarily utilizing a Revit workflow.
- Guide the design team, the production of deliverables and maintain the project on schedule.
- Coordinate consultants, including: structural engineers, MEP, civil, interiors, landscape, and others.
- Establish and maintain a clear and up to date understanding of zoning codes, building codes and permitting processes.
- Supporting the development of healthy, comfortable, and energy-efficient building strategies, including learning and applying Passive House principles.
- Mentor team members, promote growth and the values we stand by and align with the company culture.
- You earned a professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) from an accredited program. An interest or background in sustainable design or Passive House principles is highly valued.
- Ideally, you are a licensed architect
- You have at least 8 years of professional architecture studio experience
- You have experience with multifamily construction
- You have worked on the design and construction of single family homes, using stud wall construction techniques and detailing
- You have excellent professional, presentation and people skills
- You are incredibly good at delegating and yet know when to tackle issues yourself.
- You know how to prioritize tasks and maintain projects on schedule and budget
- You have experience putting sets together, from SD to DD to CD.
- You have experience with Construction Administration, RFIs and sub coordination.
- You are proficient in Revit and know very well the Google Workspace environment
