Project Architect / Captain
Bell Design Group is a vibrant, idea-driven architecture and design studio headquartered in Los Angeles, with additional locations in Spain and Argentina. We’re a diverse and collaborative team that thrives on creativity, curiosity, and craft. Our work spans a wide range of typologies—from boutique hotels and affordable housing to production studios, tech campuses, civic and non-profit work, adaptive reuse, and master plans. Every project is an opportunity to push boundaries and create meaningful spaces. We value honesty in our process, transparency in collaboration, and respect in every exchange. At BDG, we believe great design emerges from dialogue, discipline, and shared purpose – and we seek those who are inspired to push boundaries, learn deeply and continually, and build with integrity.
We’re currently seeking a Project Architect / Captain to join our growing studio in an architectural role focused on projects of varying scales and technical complexities. This is a full-time role for a highly motivated individual who brings technical expertise, design sensitivity, and leadership to the table. You’ll work closely with Project Managers and design teams to lead the development of architectural plans and ensure excellence from concept through construction. A Project Architect should have extensive knowledge of the building process, from conceptual design through construction, and be able to apply architectural principles, practices and techniques consistently and with exploratory drive. A Project Captain may have less years of experience but should be able to engage in projects with the same skills of application and exploration. We are looking for someone that thrives in the multi-dimensional, problem-solving environment of our industry. This position is also expected to engage in the activities and advancement of the studio, as well as providing positive support, mentorship and training to junior staff.
What You’ll Do
Send your cover letter, resume, references, and portfolio (must include design and construction drawing samples) to careers@belldesigngroup.com.
