About Us
Archery Games Denver is an indoor entertainment venue in Arvada, CO. We run archery dodgeball sessions for players ages 7 and up, and Nerf Wars for ages 6 and up. Our arena holds 20 players at a time, and we'll often host corporate groups as large as ~75. For eight years we've hosted birthday parties, corporate team building events, and public sessions. We're a single-location, locally owned, operation.
The Role
You'd run the day-to-day operations of the venue, including You handle everything else: the day-to-day customer experience, staffing and hiring, responding to customers and scheduling bookings.
Most of the time you'll be the senior person on-site. Players, parents, and corporate clients will deal with you directly. Your staff will look to you. When something comes up, you make the call.
This role is pivotal in creating an exceptional guest experience, and ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills and experience in managing experiential organizations.
Responsibilities
- Host and run group sessions, birthday parties, and corporate team building events
- Answer phones and emails, quote customers, and confirm bookings
- Hire, train, and schedule part-time and seasonal staff
- Manage the full customer experience from first contact through event wrap-up
- Handle cash and process payments
- Handle opening and closing procedures and routine equipment upkeep between sessions
- Manage inventory and purchase needed items
- Keep bookings, communications, and schedules organized so nothing falls through
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests of all ages
What We're Looking For
You don't need experience running an archery venue or shooting a bow. You do need experience managing a team and running a customer-facing operation without a lot of oversight.
We're open to both part time and full time hires depending on your desired schedule.
Required:
- Experience managing a team in hospitality, food service, sports, summer camps, entertainment, or a similar customer-facing environment
- Comfortable handling customer inquiries by phone and email, including quotes and booking conversations
- Experience hiring, training, and holding hourly staff accountable
- Organized enough to track multiple bookings and communications at once
- Able to handle problems directly and make judgment calls without waiting for someone else to step in
Physical: This is an on-your-feet role in a loud, active environment. You'll be moving between sessions, helping reset equipment, and on the floor with guests most of your shift.
Compensation and Hours
Pay: $25-$27/hour depending on experience. In the past we've done annual bonuses for all staff. Our current manager receives a reimbursement for health insurance, and we're open to exploring health insurance options for a full time hire.
Hours: Full-time or part-time. This role requires availability on weekends. Weekdays we'll often have corporate groups, birthdays, or summer camps. A flexible schedule is important, but these bookings are made well in advance so it isn't last minute call-ins. Weekday hours cover admin, scheduling, customer communications, and staff management and you'll need to manage your own schedule.
Pay: From $27.00 per hour
