Archer Meat Snacks, the #1 jerky brand in the Natural and Specialty Channel, is seeking a Junior MRO Buyer to join our Purchasing team. This role is a great opportunity for someone early in their procurement career who is eager to build experience in sourcing, vendor management, and supply chain operations within a high-growth food manufacturing environment.

Reporting to the Sr. Purchasing Manager, you will take ownership of ordering production supplies, managing vendor relationships, and supporting replenishment strategies across multiple facilities. You’ll also have the chance to cross-train on raw material buying and play an important role in keeping Archer’s operations running smoothly.

What You’ll Own & Impact

• Manage day-to-day procurement of production supplies, ensuring on-time delivery and first-time quality
• Support vendor management, including supplier evaluations, performance tracking, and relationship development
• Conduct RFPs and cost comparisons to identify savings and efficiency opportunities
• Partner with Operations, Warehousing, and Production teams on replenishment planning and inventory management
• Maintain accurate purchasing records across warehouses and manufacturing facilities
• Create purchase orders, track deliveries, and monitor vendor performance
• Assist with NetSuite system updates and ensure order accuracy
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support evolving business needs
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects and productivity initiatives
  
  

What Sets You Apart

• 2 years of purchasing or procurement experience (MRO, indirect, or supply chain preferred)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Solid Excel and Microsoft 365 skills (formulas, reporting, pivot tables a plus)
• Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite exposure a plus
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
• High School diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Passion for learning and growing in procurement and supply chain

Location & Schedule:

This role is based at our Vernon, CA headquarters and requires majority on-site presence to support operations.
